Story 3-2 & Adv 12

Reversible Gear

MB2 Adv 12 & 3-2.jpg (44065 bytes) The trick on Reversible Gear is to know where the entrance to the

middle of the gear is going to stop, and when.  Once you figure that

out, you can go there and wait for it.  You can watch the map to see it

coming so you can get a little momentum before it's actually

there--the entrance has only one banana in it instead of a bunch.

Story 5-4 & Exp 04

Mad Shuffle

(Just Go version)

MB2 5-4 JG.jpg (43544 bytes) The key to getting across Mad Shuffle's moving bars is to know how

they move.  They go 4 times each direction.  If you don't want to have

to switch sides in the middle of your way across, you need to get on

a bar right before it switches direction--you can stop and count

before getting on.  Start moving just before it hits the bottom on its

fourth time, and it'll start back up just after you get on.  If you time that

right, you can stay on that side all the way across.

Or you can "Just Go", and switch sides on the way.

Story 5-6 & Exp 06

Jump Machine

MB2 Exp 06.jpg (43582 bytes) To get to the goal(s) on Jump Machine, you have to maintain tight

control over your ball's movement.  That is, you want to move as little

as possible.  Don't get any momentum built up or you're not likely to

be able to stop on the small platforms.  It's also important to line up

where you're going before letting it "jump" you up.

Story 7-1 & Exp 21

Spiral Bridge

MB2 Exp 21 & 7-1.jpg (44334 bytes) Spiral Bridge is a weird one.  Going up the spiral is easy enough.

The tough part is what to do when you get to the top.  The trick is to

stop at the beginning of the straight bar, and hold steady there as

much as possible.  The spin will slowly push you outward, and you

have to time it right to get onto the goal platform without too much

speed.
