Katamari Damacy is a quirky and very original game. Its story is so weird and improbably it's almost embarrassing, but it provides a premise, however unlikely, for you to play an extremely entertaining game.
In the game, you roll around a magical sticky ball called a katamari. Whenever the ball touches something substantially smaller or lighter than it is, the object sticks to the ball and also becomes magically sticky. Before long, instead of a sticky ball, you've got a sticky bunch of sh....stuff.
And as you keep sticking more stuff to the mess, it gets bigger and bigger. That's what I love most about this game--the scale. You start small, and before you know it, you're so big you're sucking up cars, elephants, houses, whales, skyscrapers, ocean liners, and eventually whole towns and islands. Like so:
