P.N. 03 got a lot of attention, because it was the first of the "Capcom 5" to see release.  (The other 4 are Viewtiful Joe, Resident Evil 4, Killer 7, and the cancelled Dead Phoenix).

P.N. 03 was heavily criticized for repetitiveness in gameplay and for re-using the same rooms, levels, and enemies.  All of those criticisms are valid (extremely valid), but not enough (we think) to call this a bad game.  Those same criticisms are also true of Halo, one of the more celebrated games around.

I think the real problem with P.N. 03 was that its unique design was misunderstood.  Because its a 3rd-person shooting game with a lead character on foot, people were expecting a Syphon Filter, Metal Gear, or Devil May Cry type of game.  

But P.N. 03, in spirit, is more of a classic "flying" shooter like 1942, Galaga or Gradius.  That's where its genius lies.  We had a blast with this game, despite its flaws.  It's really a rush once you're good at it to clear a room of enemies, jumping and sliding around to never take a hit, all while Vanessa 'dances'.  And her "Energy Drive" moves are just plain cool.

Which brings us to our last point: Vanessa is hot.  :-)
